Kristen Stewart Promotes “Twilight” On The “Today Show” & “Live With Regis & Kelly”

Kristen Stewart made a guest appearance on the “Today Show” yesterday morning in New York City.

This is a jaw-dropping moment, because not only is she not wearing a black dress, but she’s also NOT wearing black pumps.

It looks like our prayers have been finally answered.

Yes the black dresses were becoming more appealing since she showed-off her new auburn hair colour, but a changed was needed and it finally came.

She wore an ash white Helmut Lang Mesh cut-out tank dress with matching Louboutin’s.

Later on that same morning Kristen was also a guest on “Live with Regis & Kelly”.

She looked a lot more relaxed with Regis and Kelly, after Letterman was very non-committal when interviewing her for his show.

She wore a Peter Pilotto Spring 2010 dress with plum Louboutin’s.

The multi-coloured midnight blue, burgundy and forest green dress has an amazing print and drapes beautifully.

I’m going to add Peter Pilotto to my wish list brands for future red carpet looks for KStew.

Everything seems to work with this new hair colour. I hope it’s a keeper and not just for a movie role.

“Push” LA Premiere

I looooove Camilla Belle in this multi-coloured geometric print Alexander McQueen Spring 2009 sleeveless dress.

As always she makes something that looks hard to pull off, look so effortless.

My only critique would be her hair.

14 year old Dakota Fanning is growing up so elegantly, unlike many former teen stars.

Her style is effortless, cute and always age appropriate. This strapless silver strapless mini dress with an origami detail on the bodice just proves that.

It was recently announced that Kimora Lee-Simmons is pregnant, and we got so see a first glimpse of her baby bump in her cute gold baby doll dress.

Rumer Willis fails to impress.

Are those girls laughing with her or at her?

The Row Resort Goes Online

If Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are hoping to have the “celebrity” dropped from their traditional “celebrity designer” monikers, their recent collections for The Row have been steps in the right direction. The sisters are nothing if not hands-on—Mary-Kate even helped models in and out of looks at the duo’s Resort ‘11 presentation. That collection was a strong one for the label—Nicole Phelps called out the “delightful little details” lurking in its understated pieces—and it goes on sale at their e-commerce site, TheRow.com, tomorrow. (The Cooper top is $390; the Estabrook leather mini, $1,200.) These are the kind of strongly conceived pieces that say “designer” loud and clear. But as a concession to their celebrity, they’re offering a giveaway, too: a copy of their lookbook, signed by both women, for the first ten fans to place a Resort order.

Kate Bosworth In Dolce & Gabbana – Nylon Magazine March Issue Party

Actresses Gillian Zinser and Kate Bosworth attended Nylon Magazine’s March Issue Celebration to celebrate Kate’s March cover at Hemingway’s in LA.

Gillian opted for a grungy chic look pairing khaki fringed pants with vintage tee, whereas Kate’s look wanted to be grungy chic but it was just chic.

She wore an embellished Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 lace mini dress without the knickerbockers presented on the runway.

This is the second time the actress has worn a look from this collection.

On this occasion she opted to wear black booties which I do not favour, but she was clearly trying to toughen up this look.

Mission unaccomplished because she still looks sweet and adorable, but it’s very surprising that her stylist would pick this look considering it has already been worn by Diane Kruger.

Burak Uyan’s Postcard From Singapore

Footwear designer Burak Uyan (above) and his partner, Srjan Prodanovic, rang in the New Year by launching their business in Singapore. The German-born, Paris-based Uyan, a veteran of Givenchy, Giambattista Valli, and Aperlaï, checked in from the Asian metropolis.Singapore was a stimulation for all my senses. As soon as I got to the hotel, I immediately fell in love with the impressive mix of contemporary design juxtaposed with the traditional English colonial style architecture. It somehow represented its culture: A mix of exoticism and fast forwardness without leaving traditions behind. It’s a city that harbors not only a successful economy—seen through its skyline and immense architectural feats such as the Marina Bay Sands and its three huge towers—but also makes sure to maintain its tropical flora and fauna, as at its splendid botanical gardens. My business parter, Srdjan Prodanovic, and I presented the collection to an enthusiastic crowd, then headed off to dinner with Olga Iserlis, an event planner who also brought the Valentino retrospective to the city. Its culinary fusion of Thai, Chinese and Mediterranean influences tingled on my tongue (definitely was worth the mess of crab sauce on my fingers and shirt). We left with excitement ringing in our ears, and ready to plan our next presentation in Singapore. I think this experience can only influence my designs, by way of a fusion of Oriental and Occidental tastes.

The Late Show with David Letterman – Kyra Sedgwick In Antonio Berardi

Kyra Sedgwick arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York yesterday to make an appearance on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’.

The first thing that occurred to me was that the actress wasn’t wearing L’Wren Scott.

Kyra has long been a fan of L’Wren Scott’s figure hugging dress.

On this occasion she worn an Antonio Berardi Fall 2010 figure hugging dress.

I guess she loves to show off that well toned body of hers.

Her brocade printed dress has a black panel going down both sides of the dress, this panel tricks you into believing her exposed bra is part of the dress.

From the runway picture, and the picture below it’s clear that it’s not.

Despite the heavy print this look is not a huge departure from Kyra’s usual style, which is why she looks so great as she knows what works best for her.

I will have to give her a huge thumbs down for her footwear choice.

I’m really hoping Casadei heels don’t become the new Trib Two’s.

Runway To “Whiteout” LA Premiere – Kate Beckinsale In Jil Sander

Maybe it’s because I’m sitting in an air conditioned Starbucks or maybe it’s because Kate Beckinsale looks so drop-dead gorgeous, but I have goosebumps right about now.

I LOVE the simplicity of Kate’s Jil Sander Fall 2009 strapless gown.

The structure of the bodice, and the draped detail on the hip are exquisite.

She’s so effortless, so chic, not a hint of the over-dresser she used to be.

Kate pairs her look with gold accessories and very loosely ties her hair back.

We waited months for Jil Sander to hint the red carpet, and now we’ve had 3 looks in a space of a week.

Guess who has just booked herself a place on the BDOTW list?

      Celebs flock to Burberry collection

Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Wintour and Serena Williams were at the latest collection for Burberry Prorsum at London Fashion Week.

London Fashion Week drew to a close Tuesday after five days of shows that commentators said marked a new maturity for the event – despite a few catwalk tumbles and the odd naked model.

Three new designers were added to this season’s official schedule and one hatmaker sent his models out nude, proving that London can still lay claim to being the adventurous younger sibling of the New York, Paris and Milan shows.

But the presence of global glamour house Burberry alongside veterans Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood has raised London’s game, and commentators have noted an increasing maturity here that demands to be taken seriously.

“I think it’s very polished, London, it’s very sophisticated. It’s lost that feeling of craziness, but at the same time the actual designs are new,” British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman told AFP.

A sombre note was set by Monday’s memorial service for designer Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide in February.

Among those who attended the ceremony in St Paul’s Cathedral were US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Sex in the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, Icelandic pop star Bjork and models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

Wintour and Parker stayed on for the Burberry Prorsum show late Tuesday to watch a typically assured collection dominated by leather jackets and trousers contrasted with soft fabrics and bright accessories.

The models wore sky-high platform pumps which were clearly hard to walk in – two models had to remove them and another took an embarrassing tumble.

Leather black biker jackets and padded beige leather trench coats were nipped in at the waist by bright belts in mint green and turquoise.

The bright colours echoed the neons that have peppered other shows here this weekend, including those by two of London’s brightest young stars, Christopher Kane and Giles Deacon.

Kane displayed intricate designs in lace, graphic print and embroidery – all in shocking pinks, oranges and greens. He explained: “Working in neon gets the heart going.”

Meanwhile Giles used a riot of colour, from bright-metallic eye-makeup to cartoonish knits, for a fun collection modelled by curvaceous models Kelly Brook and Abbey Clancey, the fiancee of England footballer Peter Crouch.

Some spectacular new venues were introduced onto the catwalk schedule this season, including a disused power station by the River Thames, and the old Eurostar train station at Waterloo, a cavernous space with a glass roof.

Another rising star, Peter Pilotto, used the station platforms as the catwalks for his show, displaying a mix of complicated pattern cutting and flyaway fabrics, slit skirts and full length jersey dresses in white and blue.

London has always been known as a place where new designers can get themselves heard, and French hatmaker Charlie Le Mindu has used this to great effect, hitting the headlines last year for a headdress made of real mice.

This season he sent several of his models out on the catwalk with nothing on, to ensure nothing distracted from their hats.

He echoed Vogue editor Shulman’s suggestion that London was becoming more serious, but he told AFP that it mustn’t forget its roots but should “have some more fun”.

The grande dame of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood, has never struggled to mix maturity with fun and her Red Label collection this season was no exception, offering elegant yet funky suits with make-up that looked like the models had been splashed with brightly coloured paint.

“It’s been such a special week again,” said Harold Tillman, head of the British Fashion Council, adding: “In 2012 we’ve got the Olympics… we’ve got to start thinking about that.”

Among those helping Tillman think about London’s future will be Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha, who is hoping to become formally involved with the event from next season.

On the principle that, the more you pay, the less you get (swimsuits, evening gowns, mobile phones, laptops), the folks who design clothing for nude models must be getting paid a motza!

I have some ideas, if anyone wants to hire me…

  • Jane Mayle Will Stay Just A Little Bit Longer

For at least a short while, we get more Mayle. Jane’s namesake line and boutique will stay open through April and offer a very limited limited collection.

The Ellen Show: Ellen Barkin’s new, vaguely familiar HBO show will be less warm-cuddly than a talk show, and more sexy-vindictive, like a telenovela.

Fabien Baron and Karl Templer must have something lined up in This Unstable Economy, otherwise their joint exit from Interview would be highly unadvised. Or just ballsy.

Page Six Magazine will continue to dole out the same trustworthy gossip, just less of it.

The Bank of England’s guidelines for their female employees’ wardrobes specify “no ankle chains,” which is disturbing, because it means someone actually wore one.

The Cut makes a good point: “Who needs the Super Bowl when you have couture?” Specifically, Jean Paul Gaultier doing this.

Uniqlo’s list of participants in its Designers Invitation Project is complete: Steven Alan (for women), Opening Ceremony (men), Shipley & Halmos (women), and Gilded Age (men). Prices stop at $79. Sweet fashion relief.

Sofia Vergara In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Happy Feet Two’ London Premiere

Sofia Vergara hit the red carpet in London on Sunday night for the European premiere of ‘Happy Feet Two’.

The ‘Modern Family’ star wore a leopard-print Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress, Christian Louboutin Lady Daf Platform Mary Jane pumps and a Lemaresca purse.

Leopard-print Dolce & Gabbana is just what we’d expect from Sofia, but the purple colour and fit of this dress look too perfect on the actress to criticize.

Sheer black tights and Mary Jane Louboutins add a nice subtlety for the cartoon film premiere.

We’re on the fence about the pairing of the purple dress with the leopard-print Lemaresca purse.

What do you think – completely clashing or a cute complement?
